Jimmy Grippo

Jimmy Grippo learns the words to MY WAY.

Frank Sinatra was a regular headliner at Caesars Palace and enjoyed the magic of Jimmy Grippo when eating with his entourage in the private dining room in the Palace Court restaurant at Caesars.  Jimmy would perform a trick he called, The Jack & Jill Trick", wherein a specatator would select a card, return it to the deck.  The deck would be shuffled and the spectator would deal the cards one at a time, reciting the lyrics to the old story of "Jack and Jill went up the hill....." , dealing a card for each word.

As the poem came to an end and the person would say the last word in the combination, "Jill came tumbling AF-TER". The last card dealt on the word "after" would be turned face up and it word be the selected card.

Sinatra like the trick so much, he made Jimmy perform the trick many times for friends, but then he decided that Jimmy should perform the trick to his legendary song, My WAY.

Jimmy learned the song and actually sang in his fashion the song My WAY, and on the last words of the phrase, " I did it my way, the chosen card was on cue.
